Boynton Beach, October 16, 2013 – South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary and Faith Farm Ministries have partnered to offer long term, residential, recovery students college credits upon completion and mastery of Faith Farm’s 9 to 12 month academic curriculum. Both organizations believe that this partnership may be the first ever of its kind. Faith Farm Ministries operates three south Florida campuses with men’s recovery programs in Ft. Lauderdale, Boynton Beach and Okeechobee. The Women’s program is located at the Boynton Beach location. Faith Farm is a 62 year old, free, faith based, residential recovery program for men and women who struggle with addiction.
South Florida Bible College and Theological Seminary, established in 1985, is located in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education and is listed as a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Vendor by the Florida Department of Education. The bible college is an inter-denominational institution of higher learning where men and women can fulfill the call of God upon their lives.
The partnership allows for academic opportunities for Faith Farm students through offering college credits for completing the Phase I, 9 to 12 month recovery program and passing a comprehensive test. It also provides an avenue for continuing their education, either online or classroom instruction, for a student in Faith Farm’s Phase II Program, specifically the Omega College Program. This is a student who desires to obtain either an Associate of Arts degree, any of six Bachelor of Arts degrees or a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies or a Master of Divinity degree. The partnership also offers collaborative opportunities for faculty and staff.
